MFK has since its inception experienced an overwhelming growth in both client base as well as geographical coverage. Like a tree, we have grown different branches that serve different community needs. In the past 10 years, we have managed to expand beyond Ugenya into Samburu, Nairobi, and Kisumu, a growth we attribute to the strong partnerships and collaborations we have with the communities in which we work and like-minded organizations.
This focus area of facilities and programs entails MFKs’ Women and Children Hospital, satellite clinics, government facilities and Community Health Outreach Programs. Under this focus area we want to strengthen the capacity of Kenyan communities on the rights to health. We will focus on providing of quality healthcare. We aim to make this possible through ensuring that MFKs’ Women and Children Hospital, satellite clinics, government facilities and Community Health Outreach Programs has modern facilities and highly competent staff.
We will deliver community based programmes on integrated health and community development services aimed at improving livelihoods through preventive, promotive, rehabilitative, as well as curative service. In addition MFK intends to build and launch a world-class center of excellence that provides cutting-edge health care and training in rural Kenya. This will ensure expansion of MFK current facilities by creating a state-of-the-art diagnostic center comprising of an accident and emergency department, laboratory, radiology, and other outpatient management areas; and an operating room with an ICU/HDU. These will be complemented with wards, an incinerator, and a morgue.
